Forest Green Quartzite

Guanmay Stone supplies premium Forest Green Quartzite – a striking natural stone known in the Chinese market as Monet Forest Quartzite. Quarried in Brazil, this quartzite features a deep forest green to emerald base that serves as a dramatic foundation, with flowing veins of crisp white, silver-grey, and subtle gold accents forming organic, painterly patterns.

Each slab is unique – the green veining ranges from soft, moss-like wisps to bold, branching strokes, while white accents introduce brightness and contrast. Together, they evoke the layered textures, filtered light, and natural movement of a dense forest, giving each slab a strong sense of depth and natural artistry.

Quartzite vs. Marble: Unlike marble (Mohs 3–4), Forest Green Quartzite offers significantly superior durability with Mohs hardness of 6.5–7. It resists scratches from cutlery, heat from hot cookware, and acidic etching from citrus or wine – making it suitable for high-use kitchen surfaces where marble would be compromised.

Kitchen countertops and islands: Custom cut-to-size up to 96"x26" – island tops up to 36"x72". Waterfall islands fabricated with mitered edge detailing.

Integrated sink vanity tops: Single sink cutout (25"x22") or double sink cutout (61"x22") configurations. Undermount or drop-in sink openings available. Pre-drilled 3-hole or 8-inch spread faucet holes. 4-inch attached backsplash and matching side splash options.

Bathroom shower panels and wall cladding: Full-slab installations for wet areas – waterproof and easy to maintain.

Surface finishes: Polished (high-gloss, enhances colour depth and veining), Honed (smooth matte), Leathered (textured matte), Brushed (light texture).

 

Quality Control & Inspection Standards

Forest Green Quartzite requires rigorous quality control to ensure visual consistency and structural integrity for high-end residential and commercial projects.

Block and slab selection: Each block is evaluated for colour saturation, veining distribution, and absence of structural defects. For large-scale projects, slabs from the same block are batched to ensure visual consistency.

Fabrication quality:

Dimensional accuracy: Cut-to-size components verified against CAD drawings with +/-1mm tolerance

Vein matching: Slabs are vein-matched for feature walls, large islands, and continuous surfaces where required

Surface finish: Polished finish inspected for uniform gloss (80°–100°); honed finish checked for consistent texture

Edge inspection: All edges verified for straightness and finish quality

Hole placement: Sink cutouts, faucet holes, and anchor holes confirmed to CAD coordinates
