Going back to the source: the blue gift of the Sea of Marmara
The story of Fendi Blue marble begins in the Sea of Marmara, the smallest sea in the world. "Marmara" means "marble" in Greek. This sea, located between the Eurasian continent, gets its name from the abundance of high-quality marble, particularly from the quarries on Marmara Island, which give rise to the unique quality of Fendi Blue. The unique geological structure of this location-the collapse of the Eurasian Fault-has created a unique environment, shaped by eons of crustal movement and mineral precipitation, resulting in the distinctive texture and color of Fendi Blue marble.
Unlike common blue stones on the market, Fendi Blue does not come from a single vein; it is a rare variety, native to a specific region of Marmara Island. Each piece of Fendi Blue marble bears witness to the unique geological history of the region. The subtle blue hue, imbued with a gray base, evokes the eternal imprint of the waters and sky of the Sea of Marmara, a work of art created by nature and time.
Versatility in Design
As a high-quality natural stone, Fendi Blue marble stands out not only for its exceptional aesthetics but also for its impressive physical properties. Its density of 2.6 g/cm³ and compressive strength of 165 MPa ensure its durability in various environments. Whether used as flooring or wall decoration, it withstands the wear and tear of daily use.
Its exceptionally low water absorption rate of just 0.14% makes it exceptionally resistant to moisture and discoloration compared to ordinary marble, making it ideal for spaces with high humidity, such as bathrooms and kitchens. This property also simplifies daily maintenance, reducing the need for long-term maintenance.
Fendi Blue marble also exhibits excellent malleability and can be cut into various sizes (commonly 280 x 160 cm or larger) and tiles (305 x 305 mm), typically 18 mm thick, to meet a variety of design needs. Its polished surface gives it a delicate, smooth shine that further enhances the luxurious feel of any space. At the same time, the characteristics of natural stone give Fendi Blue excellent thermal conductivity, providing a comfortable feeling underfoot when placed on the floor.

The use of Fendi Blue marble in high-end design projects fully demonstrates its ability to transform spaces. In the Jinmao Puyuan project in Hongkou, Fendi Blue is combined with 15 exceptional and luxurious stones from around the world to create a cutting-edge living space. The designer ingeniously uses its tranquil blue veins to evoke an oriental aesthetic, combining natural elements with luxurious stone art to create a unique spatial rhythm. This design concept, which fuses exceptional Western stones with oriental aesthetics, redefines the artistic value of high-end residences.
The Beijing Poly Jinshang Phase II project ingeniously combines Fendi Blue marble with Versace Black marble to create a time-lapse entrance. Under the light, the marble creates a layered effect of light and dark, and the floating logo, set against the stone background, adds an artistic touch. This design technique not only highlights the project's high-end positioning but also demonstrates Fendi Blue's adaptability to commercial spaces.
Beyond large-scale architectural projects, Fendi Blue marble is also gradually being incorporated into the high-end furniture market. In high-end furniture markets like Foshan, lightweight and luxurious dining tables made from imported Brazilian Fendi Blue marble have become a popular choice. These tables combine the unique texture of natural stone with modern furniture design, bringing an artistic touch to the home. This application extends the use of Fendi Blue from public spaces to private spaces.
